In my self-care journey I’ve decided to read more books to improve my way of thinking. I've always enjoyed reading but admittedly it would usually be a book on romance or thrillers (Twilight and 50 shades of Gray have been read twice over) and that type of stuff, I will still love and continue to read these genres too, but I wanted to read more things that could be empowering for me through the mental stimulation a book provides.

Here I will share some books and my reviews on them. This page will be updated as and when I read another great book I want to share with you… so don’t miss out and keep checking this page.

Also feel free to leave comments and recommend some books that you love too… Remember we are here to share and motive each other X

The Woman Code: 20 Powerful Keys to Unlock Your Life

Sophia says “Every women lives by a code, whether she realises it on not” and reading this book proved that to me. Breaking down 20  codes into sections she really made this an honest and thought provoking read for women of all ages. While every code may not apply to you it’s still interesting to know and gain insight on. Some of this book is around the authors religion and while I’m not a religious person I truly enjoyed every moment of reading this, her values never stopped me linking my own! I found myself noticing the codes in my day to day life, when they would usually just pass by without thought. She literally unlocks them in your mind.

Our codes are a way of living and until we see them and know them we cannot master them, this book explains how to look after ourselves mind body and soul as women. How to achieve professional excellence while not comprising our values. Healing from past pain and hurts that are inevitable in life... and so much more. Sophia Nelson believes that everything a women needs to lead in their life is already in them and in their codes. And she sure as hell made me think this too!

Girl Code: Unlocking the Secrets to Success, Sanity and Happiness for the Female Entrepreneur

This book screams Girl Power! I decided to read this for motivation and a different perspective on this whole self love and empowerment journey. Cara Leyba is a successful entrepreneur in her own right who is all about empowering other women while walking her own Journey. She started as a blogger and turned life coach/ motivational speaker and an overall inspirational woman and this book for me describes that. But Girl Code is far from all about the Author.

While she shares her own experiences and journey she interviews other Female Entrepreneurs who are damn right motivating. This book is a road-map for girls about their business, whether the plans are big or small this is sure to inspire you being filled with so many amazing women and their stories. One thing I realised very quickly reading this book is that all these women have a common ground of empowering other women, supporting each-other and being inspired by each-other. This book helps you accept what a fabulous women you already are but is sure to push you to the next level.
